MAG Communications Named to Represent ICOM in Bulgaria

ICOM has appointed MAG Communications, a Sofia firm, to represent the independent agency network in Bulgaria.

A leading global network of independent advertising and marketing communications agencies, ICOM continues to appoint the strongest agencies in each market in order to meet clients’ needs for the best advertising and marketing communications expertise all around the world.

Commented Gary Burandt, ICOM executive director, “Our clients are assured of the same level of expertise regardless of where in the world they are working with ICOM agencies.”

For MAG Communications (www.mag.bg), the appointment is important to gain international support without the bureaucracy of a mega-agency network, especially since Bulgaria joins the European Community on Jan. 1. "We expect many new foreign companies to enter the market, both prospective clients and new agencies. This will lead to more competition and require a greater agility to compete for the big clients," said Konstantin Manolov, executive director-chief creative officer. "Belonging to an independent global network will give us international access and expertise to offer our clients, and, on the other hand, we are here to provide expertise and resources for other ICOM members' clients in our country."

Founded in 1994, MAG offers integrated services, including online, interactive, public relations and media activities as well as traditional advertising and promotion. The agency serves multinational clients, such as Panasonic and Ford, as well as others in the telecom, fuel, beer and chemical businesses.

Rollinsville, Colorado (USA)-based ICOM is the most balanced of the international independent advertising and marketing communications networks offering a full range of integrated marketing and media communications services. The network of 85+ member agencies in 50+ countries offers clients an alternative to the huge and increasingly similar agency groups. ICOM was founded in 1950 as the National Federation of Advertising Agencies. Today, the network has billings of US$2 billion and gross income of US$300 million.
