ICOMs Swiss member, m.a.d. brand care, names Christian Loosli Managing Director

Basel, Switzerland – ICOM’s member in Switzerland, m.a.d. brand care, has named Christian Loosli managing director of the agency.

Mr. Loosli, who has 20 years of experience at advertising agencies and in consumer goods, will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the agency.

ICOM is one of the world’s leading independent advertising and marketing agency networks.

Mr. Loosli succeeds Pascal D. Staub, m.a.d. brand care founder and owner, who plans to focus on adding new capabilities to the agency. As board chairman, Mr. Staub will also continue to serve as strategic brand consultant and key account manager.

“This is a perfect match,“ Mr. Staub said. “Together we're looking forward to a very positive future of growth and sustainability.“

From years of experience in brand and marketing management for leading cosmetic companies, Mr. Loosli brings to the agency in-depth expertise in neuromarketing, an up-and-coming field that studies consumers’ cognitive and affective responses to marketing stimuli. He is a recognized and sought after expert, speaker and trainer in this field.

Since its start 16 years ago, m.a.d. has handled some 350 brands of companies of all sizes, from small to large. The agency’s proprietary methodology, called Brand Care Cycle, will be enhanced with the addition of Mr. Loosli’s neuromarketing expertise and accompanying mapping process.

Among the agency’s clients are Boehringer Ingelheim, the International Ski Federation, Novartis and the Swiss Football Association. Since last year, the agency’s team of consultants, project managers and designers has been lead agency for Haix, the global leader in functional shoes for firefighters, policemen and special forces.

m.a.d. has offices here and in Bern and Zürich. ICOM, headquartered in Rollinsville, CO, USA, is the most geographically balanced of international independent advertising and marketing communications networks. ICOM is made up of more than 70 member agencies in 50-plus countries. Founded in 1950 as the National Federation of Advertising Agencies, ICOM offers clients an alternative to the huge and increasingly similar agency groups. Today, the network has billings of US $2.4 billion and gross income exceeding US $390 million.
