ICOM, one of the world’s largest global networks of independent advertising and marketing communications agencies, has named Dutch agency TRIMM to represent the network in Holland.
TRIMM, whose tagline is digital craftsmanship, is a full service internet agency focused on customer experiences and technology-driven marketing. ICOM has been looking for an agency to replace Rotterdam-based Oxyma, which left the network recently after being bought by a multinational agency network.
Established in 1993, TRIMM is a digital partner for multinationals in both B2B and B2C spaces in the technology, industrial, telcommunications, and educational sectors. Clients include Grolsch Beer, KLM Royal Dutch airline, Liberty Global TV and broadband company, Nexperia semiconductor manufacturer, and Philips Lighting among others.
The agency with offices in Amsterdam, Enschede, and Utrecht and 120 employees is managed by three partners: Marc Woesthuis, Jorens Thomassen, and Rogier Florijn. “When I met them in their offices, I found a very welcoming and enthusiastic management team, upbeat staff, and an impressive workspace they designed themselves,” said Emma Keenan, ICOM executive director.
TRIMM partners also met with several ICOM board members and other ICOM agency leaders to assure that all share the same values and business philosophy. “My ICOM colleagues and I were very impressed with the people we met and what we learned about them,” said ICOM Europe Regional Director Christophe Levyfve, also CEO & Owner of NETCO Group in France and Brussels. “It’s clear that they bring valuable experience and best-in-class digital expertise to ICOM. Their work developing and designing online experiences, complex digital platforms, and other digital solutions has a strong track record in taking clients’ businesses to the next level.”
Intent on sustaining that success, TRIMM continues to expand its capabilities strategically and geographically. Most recently, TRIMM announced that Skybox Design, a creative design agency in Amsterdam, was becoming part of TRIMM and together the two offer an enhanced dedicated branding and user experience. By embracing digital craftsmanship as a whole, they can deliver fully integrated and innovative digital concepts and solutions to existing and new clients.
“2018 is a year when our agency is taking on a new and bigger dimension,” said Woesthuis. “In addition to joining a global network, we are adding a third location in Amsterdam and integrating a design skill into our portfolio of services. We continue to encourage and support new and young talent to remain fresh and innovative.”
During TRIMM’s 25 years of existence, the agency has racked up numerous honors and awards, most recently honored as the best full-service internet agency in The Netherlands in 2017 by Emerce100, a leading magazine for the digital industry. This is the second consecutive year that Trimm has taken honors in that prestigious ranking.
Membership in ICOM provides agencies the same benefits of a multinational global agency network while at the same time allowing ICOM members to remain independent. Agencies have immediate access to shared international resources and databases. Principals are encouraged to develop ongoing relationships with other member agency owners like themselves in a non-competitive environment. Agencies applying for membership are carefully vetted to assure they share the same values, goals, and philosophy of other ICOM members.
