ROLLINSVILLE, COLORADO (USA)--ICOM, a leading global network of independent advertising and marketing communications agencies, has appointed Angels Advertising, Tallinn, Estonia, to represent ICOM in its home country.
Angels Advertising joins ICOM’s EMEA region, comprised of members in 32 countries. The agency provides integrated services to a range of clients, including just opened Meresuu Spa & Hotel, a four-star wellness resort; Novomatic Group’s Admiral Casino; a leading importer of wine; bed and mattress manufacturer, part of Hilding Anders, Europe's and Asia's leading bedding company; Jura espresso machines, one of the local Toyota dealers; the developer of the largest retail complex in Estonia; women's magazines; a bank; travel agency; and sports club.
Annika Avikson, Angels founder and executive director, said by joining ICOM the agency is looking to expand its international knowledge in order to better serve clients that operate in neighboring countries.
“This is a young shop, just four years old,” said ICOM Executive Director Gary Burandt. “In a short time, they have demonstrated impressive growth and award-winning creativity. They are a welcome addition to ICOM.”
He said that as a member of the European Union, this small Baltic country is important to ICOM because of the network’s expanding business with European Economic Interest Groupings (EEIGs). ICOM handles the European Commission’s consumer rights campaign in a number of countries across Europe.
ICOM has more than 70 member agencies in 50-plus countries. Founded in 1950 as the National Federation of Advertising Agencies, ICOM offers clients an alternative to the huge and increasingly similar agency groups. Today, the network has billings of US$2.4 billion and gross income exceeding US$390 million.
