Agencies in US (Dallas, Texas) and Colombia selected for ICOM membership

ROLLINSVILLE, COLORADO (USA)--ICOM, a leading global network of independent advertising and marketing communications agencies, has appointed Square One, Dallas, Texas (US), and Aguayo Publicidad, Bogota, Colombia, to represent ICOM in their respective markets.

“It’s important for ICOM and our roster of international clients to have agency representation in all key markets in today’s world,” said ICOM Executive Director Gary Burandt. “Both of these agencies share the values, goals and philosophy of our membership as well as provide high quality integrated services. They are a valuable addition to ICOM.”

ICOM is the most balanced of the international independent advertising and marketing communications networks, with more than 70 member agencies in 50-plus countries.

Square One, a full-service ad agency focusing on developing strong consumer and business-to-business brands, is part of 2100 Ross Communications, which also includes United Marketing Communications, specializing in multi-unit franchise marketing for clients, such as Pizza Hut, and media specialist Southwest Media Group. Founded in 1994, 2100 Ross Communications has billings of $220 million and a staff of 115. Clients include Butterball turkeys, Cadbury Schweppes, DalTile, Dr Pepper, Freeman trade show and corporate events producer, Lone Star Steak House, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Pizza Hut and Whataburger.

Six-year-old Aguayo also offers integrated services and has a diverse client list including a bank, pharmaceuticals, food, international air delivery service, condoms, radio and TV stations and copiers.

Both agencies want to join ICOM for ideas, relationships and international support.

Founded in 1950 as the National Federation of Advertising Agencies, ICOM offers clients an alternative to the huge and increasingly similar agency groups. Today, the network has billings of US$2 billion and gross income exceeding US$300 million.
