ROLLINSVILLE, COLORADO (USA)--ICOM, a leading global network of independent advertising and marketing communications agencies, has appointed Moller, Mexico City, and CMN Adgroup, Ho Chi Minh City, to represent ICOM in Mexico and Vietnam, respectively.
Although Moller was founded in 1983 and CMN Adgroup just a year ago, both share the values, goals and philosophy required to qualify for ICOM membership. Both also offer a range of integrated marketing communications services. ICOM is the most balanced of the international independent advertising and marketing communications networks, with more than 70 member agencies in 50-plus countries.
Moller’s clients include Glaxo SmithKline pharmaceuticals; Holcim Apasco, the leading Mexican supplier of cement, ready-mix concrete and aggregates; International Navistar trucks and buses; Modelo Beers Group; and ScotiaBank. Founder and CEO-Creative Coach Walther Moller currently serves as VP of the Mexican Association of Marketing & Advertising Agencies.
The CMN Adgroup client list includes Glaxo SmithKline; Japan Tobacco International; Mitsubishi Motors; Uni-President (food); and VN Steel, Vietnam’s leading state-owned enterprise. While most of the staff is local, agency leaders, including General Manager James Yeong, come from developed advertising markets in the Asia-Pacific region with experience at multinationals, such as Grey, JWT, McCann Erickson and Ogilvy.
Both agencies expressed interest in ICOM so that they can tap into resources providing regional and international support as well as to be part of a forum where knowledge can be shared.
Founded in 1950 as the National Federation of Advertising Agencies, ICOM offers clients an alternative to the huge and increasingly similar agency groups. Today, the network has billings of US$2.4 billion and gross income exceeding US$390 million.
