ROLLINSVILLE, COLORADO (USA)--ICOM (www.icomagencies.com) has appointed Irish agency Rapport Marketing Communications Ltd., Dublin, and Latvian agency Balta Communications (www.baltacom.lv), Riga, to represent the independent agency network in their respective countries.
A leading global network of independent advertising and marketing communications agencies, ICOM continues to strengthen its geographic coverage in order to meet clients’ needs for advertising and marketing expertise everywhere in the world. This is especially important as ICOM continues to add clients seeking multi-market advertising and marketing services, particularly across Europe.
Rapport Marketing, founded in 1993, serves a variety of accounts including Allianz Group, Allied Drinks Distributors, Constellation Group Inc. Department of Justice, Euler Hermes credit insurers, Irish Land Registration Authority and the Isaac Hotel Group. Balta was founded in 1995 as Latvia was coming out from under the Soviet Union. The agency’s largest clients today are in beer, banking, real estate and household appliances and include the international brand Whirlpool.
As with other ICOM members, these agencies are seeking international connections and colleagues but want to remain independent. To assure the same level of quality across the network, new members must meet certain criteria before they are invited to join. They must be financially sound, be doing good work and have leadership that is compatible with the sharing culture of ICOM. Applicants are interviewed by the executive director and/or a Board member.
ICOM is the most balanced of the international independent advertising and marketing communications networks offering a full range of integrated marketing and media communications services. The network of 85+ member agencies in 50+ countries offers clients an alternative to the huge and increasingly similar agency groups. ICOM was founded in 1950 as the National Federation of Advertising Agencies. Today, the network has gross income of US$385 million.
